Testimonials

“My time at Sweetwater was full of the knowledge that my retired FEI horse, Wim, was getting the best care ever. Gwenne's knowledge for equine care, her keen eye for details, and complete care brought me relief.

Being able to communicate with her, her amazing ground people, staff, and other boarders was a great pleasure. I also have some of the most stunning photographs of sunsets from Sweetwater ever.”

“I was the very first boarder at Sweetwater and kept my horse there for 10 years. He died at the age of 35 and I'm convinced the great horse care there kept him going. Happy horses, lots of good turnout, friendly people and a nice, low key environment for Western and English riders alike. Gwenne is very knowledgeable and I grew to rely on her expertise as well as her loving touch. I cannot say enough good things about this stable.”

"I have had to move 3 times in 5 years due to fire and barn sales. Sweetwater Farm is where we hope to call our “forever” barn. The staff is amazing; the barn, stalls & runs, and property, by comparison to other facilities I’ve boarded, is kept very tidy & cleaned every day. The turn-out pastures are large and flat; also regularly cleaned, including water troughs. The boarders are friendly and helpful and riders are of multi-disciplines. The two arenas are regularly dragged. The other great thing is I could feel completely comfortable going on vacation knowing my horse is in caring & knowledgable hands.

They do 3 daily feedings and the hay is generally excellent quality. Because my horse is insulin insensitive, I test the new hay deliveries and share the results. We enjoy a track that we are able to put obstacles on as desired. As a bonus, Sweetwater Farm has a great view of Mt. St. Helena. Highly recommend!"
